Texas License to Carry
This course provides the training necessary to obtain a Texas license to Carry. It includes four hours of classroom instruction as mandated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Students are required to pass a firearms proficiency demonstration and a written exam.
The LTC class does not teach basic firearm or shooting instruction.
Part 1 is Classroom Learning: about 4 hours
Part 2 is Range Time: about 1 hour

INSTRUCTOR OBSERVATION
Shooters will have the chance to be observed by our NRA-certified instructors. They will be able to assist shooters with any improvements to their techniques and shooting styles, and provide additional instruction in order to improve the shooter’s skills.

NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation
Short Description : Firearm Instruction, Responsibility, and Safety Training — is the NRA’s response to the American public’s need for a firearm orientation program for new purchasers.

NRA FIRST Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.

FFL Transfers from a dealer (gunbroker, etc.)
After you purchase (pay for) the firearm, let the dealer know that you want the firearm shipped to JD GUNWORKS, LLC. If they have our FFL on hand, nothing else is required. If they do not have our FFL, provide them with our email address to request the FFL – info@jdgunworks.com. We cannot just ship our FFL based on a request from a guest or member. The dealer will provide us with their FFL for our records.
After receiving a request from the dealer for our FFL, we will email a copy for their shipping records.
When the firearm is delivered to JD GUNWORKS, LLC, it will be received/transferred into our Bound Book for correct accountability. As soon as the firearm transfer is complete, you will be called and notified that you can pick it up. Please do not come to pick up your firearm after you receive tracking notification from the shipping company. Just because they delivered the package, does not mean the firearm is ready for pickup – please wait for a phone call from us before you come.
